    Hi there, i’m using the free license and today i’ve update to the v9. But i still getting the warning message:

    Your evaluation license is over. Please visit NoMachine website. I’ve tried to uninstall/reinstall but i still get this. How to get this new free license under v9?

    I did a complete reinstall:

    1. Uninstall NoMachine

    2. Reboot

    3. Reinstall NoMachine using => https://download.nomachine.com/download/9.0/Windows/nomachine_9.0.188_11_x64.exe (64-bit)

    4. Reboot

    Same error: after a while the server stops and i get this:

    Hello Graphixillusion,

    Could you:

    1. Press ‘Win button’ to open the Start Menu.

    2. Type in ‘cmd’ to search for Command Prompt.

    3. Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to launch Command Prompt as an administrator.

    4. In Command Prompt, run:

    icacls "C:\Program Files\NoMachine\etc\server.lic"
    
    time /t
    
    date /t

    5. Please send to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com output of the commands and also server.lic file.

    Hi graphixillusion,

    Thanks for the logs, we checked them but we need more info.

    Can you please gather the logs with debug enabled? In order to do so, follow the instructions in this document: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243. It’s valid for v9 as well. Reboot the server, or logout and log back in. Gather logs again, and send them.

    Ok, additional logs sent. I did:

    1. uninstall/restart

    2. install/restart

    3. enable debug logs

    From my last tests, I saw that the license expiration msg appears when I stop the server: in this state if I try to start/restart the server (using the buttons in the GUI) it doesn’t work. I need to close completely the GUI, restart it again to make the GUI working/refreshing again. I hope that these new infos helps a little bit better to understand what’s going on.

    Hello

    please login as use m*****o, open command line window and run command
    whoami /priv

    It will print user privileges and send to us (via email to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com) so that we can compare for testing.

    We suspect that some privileges might be disabled which prevent you from correctly using the NoMachine service.
