Both machines C1 and C2 are directly connected via ethernet through a switch. There is no router involved and they connect to the internet over Wifi. No I cannot add a router between them.

    • They are both running the latest version of free NoMachine which was just downloaded.
    • They’re both running Windows 10
    • The connections are to physical displays

C1 shows C2 as being in the local network during the initial scan. Trying to connect results in a time out.

C2 does not show C1 as being in the local network during the initial scan.

Trying to connect with any of the IP’s given using either device results in a time out.

Nothing in the attached log looks terribly bad it just simply doesn’t work.

    What now?

I’m assuming you restarted both computers after installing?

The error that is shown in the log you attached suggests that the Windows firewall could be blocking the NoMachine connection.

Can you make a quick test? Disable the firewall (this is just for the duration of this test!) on both of the computers and try to connect.
