Host: ZorinOS Pro 18.1 in a VM (Proxmox VE 9.1.6), running NoMachine Workstation 9.4.14; 10 user accounts
Client: macOS 15.7.5 (both; x64 and arm architecture), running NoMachine 9.4.14The remote login to ZorinOS fails in about 2 of 10 instances with a “black screen” (this is true for every user on that machine).
~/.nx/server.log shows the same message on successful and unsuccesful login attempts:
37523 37523 2026-05-03 01:11:44 648.227 NXNODE WARNING! Cannot retrieve dbus session bus address.
37523 37523 2026-05-03 01:11:44 648.341 NXNODE Process initialized with arguments ”.
After each unsuccessful login attempts I have to force-logout the user.
I even tried a complete new install of all the components without success.How should I proceed?
Hi, server logs would be useful. Go to the NoMachine server settings on the Zorin OS > Security > Enable debug in the logs, restart, reproduce, collect and share logs with us. You can attach them here or send directly to forum@nomachine.com (make sure to use the title of this topic as the subject of your email).
