    Hi.

I’m connecting from a Mac to a Win10 client. The PC has no numerical keyboard, but I would like to use the numerical keyboard available on the Mac. I’m doing accounting on the PC, so it would make my work a little bit easier.

Is there any way to get the numerical keyboard to work on the Mac?

    Thanks 🙂

I’m using the free version, 8.11.3 on the Mac and 8.13.1 on the PC

Hi, are you connecting to the NoMachine Windows server from the Mac? The title suggests the Mac has no numerical keyboard, but what you wrote in the body indicates that it’s the Windows computer without the numerical keyboard. Can you confirm? 🙂

Yes I’m connecting from the Mac to the Windows machine. Mac has numerical keyboard but the Windows machine has not. I’m maybe using the client word erroneously. Sorry for that.

Open the On-Screen Keyboard on the Windows host, and press the NumLock key there (you will need to turn on the numeric key pad in the On-Screen Keyboard, that is reachable from the Options button). Is that enough to use the numeric pad from the Mac?

Hi. Thanks! I can activate the num lock with the on screen keyboard and as long as I use the on screen keyboard it works as intended. But when I hit a key on the Macs physical keyboard it deactivates num lock. So I need some more help if possible?

    Hi,

so please try this other workaround. Open the Keyboard Viewer on the Mac, then click on the three dots and select Customize. Click on Add panel and select the ‘ANSI (Large)’ panel, so that you will have the numeric key pad on the Keyboard Viewer, including the NumLock button (normally labelled with an X sign). Now you can activate the NumLock locally on the Keyboard Viewer and from now on you should be able to use the numeric key pad of the physical keyboard.

    Hi

The second workaround seems to solve my problem. Thank you very much for your help 🙂
