So it happened today! I replied to email from Britgirl
January 18, 2022 at 14:15 #37077BilbotineParticipantHello McVitas,
Unfortunately the logs you sent us do not help the investigation: there are no logs from any recent session, which can be due to a problem while gathering the logs.
Can you please send us a new set of logs (to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, making sure to reference the topic in subject) ?
I suggest to check the procedure to collect NoMachine logs, it might be useful: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00181
January 18, 2022 at 23:48 #37085McVitasParticipantwell, I suggest you to check those instructions, because that’s exactly what I have followed 😉 I expressed my concern in the email if just changing the SessionLogLevel without restarting the service does anything. Seems like I am right and it doesn’t. I will keep it now on that value and wait for another time this happens
January 19, 2022 at 11:18 #37089BritgirlKeymasterThe instructions for enabling and gathering logs manually are correct 😉
Try the shorter method “Collect server side logs automatically”
https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00182#1
Command
nxserver --debug --enable
allows you to enable debug logs for all components: nxserver, nxnode, nxwebplayer/client and the display agent in one go. It must be executed on the machine where the problem occurs. In your case, this is on the Windows machine server-side.To do it on Windows, open a CMD console as administrator and move to the ‘bin’ folder under the NoMachine installation, e.g:
cd %ProgramFiles(x86)%\NoMachine\bin nxserver --debug --enable all
Connect and reproduce the problem. When you’ve reproduced the issue, you then do:
cd %ProgramFiles(x86)%\NoMachine\bin nxserver --debug --collect
The log archive is named as: NoMachine-log-
.zip (e.g. NoMachine-log-2022.01.19-9.15.01.zip) and stored in: %PROGRAMDATA%/NoMachine/var/log/archives. January 20, 2022 at 17:05 #37097McVitasParticipantSent another logs today. But there seems to be another bug happening! Once I restart the NoMachine server I can no longer connect! It says authenticaion failure, but the password is saved in the connection file and if I do run as command on the target machine it works! The only solution is the reboot the whole PC!
January 20, 2022 at 19:54 #37111BritgirlKeymasterWe have not received any logs 🙁
Are you able to send them again?
For the authentication failure issue it would be better to start a new topic about that with all the details and the specific error message you are getting.
January 26, 2022 at 14:57 #37197McVitasParticipantWell, so I have sent the email again. It’s been almost a week and I am still waiting for some follow up… the problem keeps happening
January 26, 2022 at 17:26 #37204BritgirlKeymaster@ mcvitas, please check your email inbox. I have sent you further instructions on how to get logs to us. Thanks!
January 31, 2022 at 12:24 #37249McVitasParticipantI have uploaded logfiles to the storage space provided.

February 2, 2022 at 18:48 #37311BritgirlKeymasterJust to confirm that we got them, thank you, and we are now able to continue with the investigation.

February 7, 2022 at 10:18 #37353McVitasParticipantis there any news? I can provide some more logs if needed or do some experiment if you give me instructions
March 1, 2022 at 07:44 #37737reknaParticipantI’m also experiencing the this issue.
Server: Windows 10
Client: Oracle Linux 8The issue doesn’t happen if a connect from a Linux machine to another Linux machine.
I’m using the latest version
March 7, 2022 at 20:20 #37825SimpleTechGuyParticipantHi, just wondering if anyone found a real solution to this? I’m having the exact same problem. First noticing this on version 7.8.2 free version.
NoMachine server on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 from a Linux Player on Arch based system using xfce with 5.16 kernel. Running NoMachine 7.8.2 on both computers and connecting to physical display. Linux to Linux seems to work normally. Have not been able to test Windows to Windows.
All NX server settings are default on windows machine.
March 8, 2022 at 09:39 #37833phmParticipantAlways this trouble…
