    Hello McVitas,

Unfortunately the logs you sent us do not help the investigation: there are no logs from any recent session, which can be due to a problem while gathering the logs.

Can you please send us a new set of logs (to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, making sure to reference the topic in subject) ?

I suggest to check the procedure to collect NoMachine logs, it might be useful: https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00181

well, I suggest you to check those instructions, because that’s exactly what I have followed 😉 I expressed my concern in the email if just changing the SessionLogLevel without restarting the service does anything. Seems like I am right and it doesn’t. I will keep it now on that value and wait for another time this happens

The instructions for enabling and gathering logs manually are correct 😉

Try the shorter method “Collect server side logs automatically”

    https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00182#1

Command nxserver --debug --enable allows you to enable debug logs for all components: nxserver, nxnode, nxwebplayer/client and the display agent in one go. It must be executed on the machine where the problem occurs. In your case, this is on the Windows machine server-side.

To do it on Windows, open a CMD console as administrator and move to the ‘bin’ folder under the NoMachine installation, e.g:

    cd %ProgramFiles(x86)%\NoMachine\bin
    nxserver --debug --enable all

Connect and reproduce the problem. When you’ve reproduced the issue, you then do:

    cd %ProgramFiles(x86)%\NoMachine\bin
    nxserver --debug --collect

The log archive is named as: NoMachine-log-.zip (e.g. NoMachine-log-2022.01.19-9.15.01.zip) and stored in: %PROGRAMDATA%/NoMachine/var/log/archives.

Sent another logs today. But there seems to be another bug happening! Once I restart the NoMachine server I can no longer connect! It says authenticaion failure, but the password is saved in the connection file and if I do run as command on the target machine it works! The only solution is the reboot the whole PC!

We have not received any logs 🙁

Are you able to send them again?

For the authentication failure issue it would be better to start a new topic about that with all the details and the specific error message you are getting.

I’m also experiencing the this issue.

    Server: Windows 10
    Client: Oracle Linux 8

The issue doesn’t happen if a connect from a Linux machine to another Linux machine.

    I’m using the latest version

Hi, just wondering if anyone found a real solution to this?  I’m having the exact same problem.  First noticing this on version 7.8.2 free version.

NoMachine server on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 from a Linux Player on Arch based system using xfce with 5.16 kernel.  Running NoMachine 7.8.2 on both computers and connecting to physical display.  Linux to Linux seems to work normally.  Have not been able to test Windows to Windows.

All NX server settings are default on windows machine.
