Server side: Ubuntu 20.04 + NoMachine 7.6.2 (Enabled 【Disable client side hardware decoding】)

    Client side: WindowS 10.0.19042.985 + NoMachine 7.6.2

I always restart Ubuntu on the server side on Monday, and today and Thursday nxnode.bin has taken up 2.8 GB of memory

This situation has appeared in 6.x.x, and the situation is still the same in 7.6.2

There are another two Ubuntu server-sides, which are also 7.6.2, but the memory usage is only a few hundred MB

They are all configured by default. As for this server side it is necessary to enable 【Disable client side hardware decoding】 because of the reason for the following post:

Here are the log of the server and client

    Hi,

we would need also server side logs from the .nx directory in the user’s home. You can collect them by either the automatic or the manual procedure.

    Hi,

sorry for the delay. Logs don’t point to any specific issue. To rule out any driver issue, please try and disable hardware encoding on the server:

    1)  Edit the node configuration file, /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg

    2) Uncomment and disable the EnableHardwareEncoding key:

    EnableHardwareEncoding 0

Great, after disabling the EnableHardwareEncoding key, now the memory usage has been reduced to the normal level, thank you so much!!
