    Hello!

Since installing NoMachine 8.9.1 on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed/Plasma 5 I have had constant authentication failures via PackageKit (the system tray updater). It seems to possibly be a retread or new strain of this bug: https://kb.nomachine.com/TR08N07155

Whenever I try to check for updates via the system tray updater I get the following error:
“Authorization Failed. You have failed to provide correct authentication. Please check any passwords or account settings.”

This error is independent of any remote sessions, that is to say, it happens when logged in to the physical machine with no remote session active.

I don’t really want to uninstall NoMachine, it’s great, but I also want my packagekit applet to work. Any ideas? Happy to report back with any logs/commands upon request.

    Thanks!

Hello, we are reproducing similar issue but it looks like it is not caused by NoMachine in any way. For confirmation please collect /usr/NX/var/log/nxinstall.log and /usr/NX/var/log/nxupdate.log (if it exist) files. Output from command uname -a and screenshot of window with Authentication Error will be very useful. Send those information to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, please.
