OSX 4 Client ‘service not started’ error connecting to 3.5 Server

Hi,

I’m trying to get the OSX 4.0.368 client to connect to a 3.5 server over SSH (port 22). When it attempts connection, I get the following error:

The NoMachine service is not available on host 10.1.2.3

However, there are many active clients (using Windows, version 3.5 client) active on the server, so the service is running. Checking my user account, etc. using one of the Windows 3.5 clients and it works fine.

I’ve checked the application log files, but can’t find any information relevant to specific connection attempts (looking in /Library/Application Support/NoMachine/var/log).

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello Ian,

To connect to a 3.5.0 server from NoMachine client 4 you need to select the NoMachine login in the connection GUI. Steps are here:
