    Client: Mac/Linux NoMachine 5.0.58

Server: Debian Jessie 64bit NoMachine 5.0.58

Not sure when it started, but with some 5.0.* version NoMachine started segfaulting when servers screen resolution changes:

    [41413.590857] nxnode.bin[7116]: segfault at 7f8e17aeb820 ip 00007f8e894d0984 sp 00007f8e3b7fdd48 error 4 in libyuv.so[7f8e8948b000+72000]

    Reproduce:

Connect to Linux Server with no running X
Let NoMachine create session on headless server(no matter if session is gnome/mate/lxde/awesome)
Connect and set option to adjust remote resolution
Resize NoMachine windows for a few seconds
    Screen turns black, session disconnects
    If you reconnect: input/output error:5
    Session is dead

    dmesg shows:

    [41413.590857] nxnode.bin[7116]: segfault at 7f8e17aeb820 ip 00007f8e894d0984 sp 00007f8e3b7fdd48 error 4 in libyuv.so[7f8e8948b000+72000]

Your server should have dumped a core file (if enabled to do so) in the user’s home directory. Please locate it and get a backtrace from it as per these instructions: https://www.nomachine.com/AR09L00810.

Also it would be useful to know the screen data acqusition method the node is currently using. To do so please gather the logs by following the instructions in https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00098.

You can send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.

Patch works as expected! Can’t reproduce the segfaults anymore.

    Thanks for your help!

I think the patch will be included in the next release?
