Just want to see if anyone has the same issue:

Recently my Windows 10 desktop fails to install a cumulative update package KB3093266. The error code I got from the event viewer is 0x80070020, and the description is “The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.” But it did not tell me which process it is.

I have tried several solutions on the internet but none of them works for me.

However, I have another Windows 10 laptop on which this update is successfully installed. Since I have almost the same set of apps on both PC, I can remove the ones that is not on the laptop and retry the update.

And the update is successful after I remove NoMachine.

Can someone check your update history to see if the mentioned update package can be installed when NoMachine is present? If yes, this might be a conflict issue of NoMachine and Windows Update.

Hi alitz, we’re aware of this issue and a fix has already been prepared by our developers, which will be made available in the next update (this week).

Please make sure you download the latest version which we released last week. It contains the fix for the above TR.
