    Hello all,

    I have a strange problem: I’m running NoMachine on a Windows 11 PC that I need to connect from ouside my LAN; authentication is with key pair only. The client (on all clients the server is disabled as I don’t need it) are: 1 Windows 11 (working); 1 virtual Windows 10 (working); one virtual Linux Mint 22.1 (working); one physical Linux Mint 22.1 (not working). As server is only one and the user is the same, on the client I disabled server and setup connection using the same rsa_id key (I don’t use more than one client at a time).

    Speaking about installation not working: both from LAN or from internet I can reach the server; on the client I receive the verification key but the connection windows remains white and closes in few seconds.

    I tried with all authentication method accepted and the problem remains, even with login and password only; if I am already connected from another client, the active connection of course closes, but on Linux Mint I cannot complete the new  connection. Both physical and virtual Linux are identical and installed from the same iso and both has not yet particular configurations. I really don’t know where to look to correct the problem. I also tried to enable  e configure server authentication on the pc not working and I can connect perfectly from the other client. It seems that client side only has problem on this pc\installation. The hardware is an old Dell studio 1557, with a first generation i7 and 8 Gb of ram;

    Any idea?

    Thanks

    Adriano

    Hi,

    the connection windows remains white and closes in few seconds

    Try disabling hardware decoding on the computer you are connecting from in the player.cfg file. To do that follow the instructions here: https://kb.nomachine.com/AR07U01202. In your case, you should choose completely disable, so option 3 (). You must quit the player first before making this change from the !M in the system tray. Then try connecting again.
