Hello! I installed the client on a Note8 phone with Android 8, and installed the program on a Sony computer. I’m trying to establish a remote connection. The icon in the status bar with the letter M then appears, then disappears, then again appears in the number of one to two pieces.

In the program “NoMachine service status”, when it works, on the laptop it is written that the server is running, the numbers after nx: // are only in one line, I added them to the client on Android, the port took from the “Services” tab – 4000, there the green color is on. When you start a configured connection on the phone, a long pause occurs, writes “connection to ..”, but then writes “Error 110: Connection timeout”. What do I need to do to make the connection work?

Two times it turned out to run NoMachine Services on the laptop, but the rest at the start the program immediately closes. This happens in both cases – and if I click on the icon in the status bar, and if I start from the Start menu. If I run the NoMachine application, there is no such problem, it always starts. The phone also always starts up.

Devices: 1) laptop Sony SVE1512G1RB, Windows 7 Max 2) Samsung Note 8, Android 8.0. I downloaded the latest version of the program from your site and with Google Play.

After installing on your Windows PC did you do a restart?

    Hello wlotos,

Does your Windows machine have non-latin characters in the hostname? We already have a Trouble Report open for that which you can see here https://www.nomachine.com/TR12M06315 and you can use the ‘notify me’ tool to know when a fix is available.

If restarting the computer or changing its hostname did not help, please check nxserver logs on Sony laptop side.

If you want you can zip logs and send it to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com and we’ll take a look at them. Instructions about debug and collecting logs you can find there: https://www.nofmachine.com/DT07M00098#3
