I am using the free version of NoMachine on an older Dell Optiplex 9010 . I have the latest version of Linux Mint installed.(19). The Dell Optiplex came with onboard graphics and NoMachine worked great when connecting from a Windows 10 machine. Recently I upgraded the graphics on my Optiplex to an Nvidia Gt 1030. Now NoMachine is broken. The only resolution I can get is 640×480 and part of the desktop is cut off. The same problem occurs with (other remote access solution). I used the drivers for the Nvidia card as suggested by Update manager. I did not try disabling onboard video in the Bios as the new Nvidia card worked right away.

    Hi,

is the server a headless machine?

In case it is, you could try the solution at point 1) of https://www.nomachine.com/AR03P00973. Or you can try to attach a monitor to the server or to buy a HDMI Dummy Plug adapter.
