The version is the free Linux nomachine on a 64bit PC.  I am using is 4.1.29

I am current logged into my scientific Linux 6.5 computer using what I believe is display 0:0.  If I go to my windows 7 machine and connect I see nothing but the desktop background for my account plus a grey box in the upper left with three check boxes, “Accept clipboard from viewers”,”Send clipboard to viewers”,”Send primary selection to viewers”.  I am unable to interact with the Linux system other than checking and unchecking these boxes.  If I connect using the second user set up on the Linux machine, I see the same.

I do not require permission for a remote user to connect.

How do I recover from this without having to go to the Linux machine?

If I restart the Linux machine I can connect but it is to display 1:0, not 0:0.

Hi, we are trying to support all possible distro/WM combinations. Scientific Linux is not currently in our supported distros list. See this article for more information:

That said, to allow us to check what’s going on we will need full set of logs from server side. You can attach them here or send them to issues[at]nomachine[dot]com .

Additionally, please list the X server running on your server, you can do it by executing:

    # ps axuwww| grep X
