    Local:
    Mac book pro OS ver 26.4
    Latest NoMachine on client (free) and latest quartz

    Remote:
    Ubuntu 24, Gnome, probably Wayland, no idea if headless or not.

    Virtual desktop connects fine, custom session floating windows connection gets protocol error
    Worked fine before update of OS.
