I recently made an upgrade to the newest version of NoMachine, and I noticed that some of the functionality seems to have changed. In previous versions, when I opened a remote desktop onto a Linux machine, I was given an option of reconnecting with an existing session. I don’t see that option any more. Every time I open a new remote desktop, it creates a new session.
If you have installed NoMachine (the free version), then you are connecting to the physical desktop. If you want to run virtual desktops and be able to reconnect to them, you need the Workstation.
