Release Notice: NoMachine 7.8.2 is now available for download

To all NoMachiners, we’ve released updated version 7 packages. This provides fixes for issues affecting earlier versions including problems related to missing audio on macOS 12 Monterey, inability to connect to Wayland desktops on RHEL-based distributions and sudden disconnection of the session after multiple user switches on Windows.

Version 7.8.2 also updates USB drivers for macOS 12 to fix USB forwarding and a possible sudden restart of the Mac. It also provides updates to the built-in web server, nxhtd, now based on Apache v. 2.4.52.

You’re right lo_pan. Although a fix was indeed done and queued up for insertion, it didn’t make the last maintenance. It will definitely be in the next v7 maintenance.

As yet the next MR of v7 hasn’t been scheduled. In any cases the fix in question has also been added to the next major, version 8, which is in its final testing phase, so it’s probable that you’ll get the fix in that rather than wait for the next maintenance of version 7 🙂
