I have a Mac at home and a Mac at work.  I use a Synology router and NAT and UPnP are enabled on the router.  I am not familiar with NoMachine.  Typically, I use BTMM but it is slow and unreliable.  I want to configure NoMachine so I can remote to my Mac at home over the internet. I want complete control over my Mac at home.  I am hoping  NoMachine is more reliable than BTMM.

Currently, I have installed NoMachine on both computers and I think I need to configure the computer at home for internet access.

Instructions how to connect to NoMachine when the server is behind a NAT router or a firewall you can find there: https://www.nomachine.com/AR11L00827.

    BaseDirectory/NoMachine.app/Contents/Frameworks/etc/ directory on Mac.

    That seems to be wrong.

    It is just /etc/NX

‘BaseDirectory’ represents the folder where the application gets installed. On Mac, this is usually Applications.
