    Hello,

I have “Resize remote display” set in my client (NoMachine 8.10.1 on Linux). When I connect to the host machine (NoMachine 8.10.1 for Mac on an M2 mac mini running macOS Sonoma 14.1), it always is set to 1920 x 1080. If I try to resize the client window, it will snap back to the 1920 x 1080 resolution instead of resizing the display. I think there is an issue on the server-side because when I open the System Settings and to to Displays, it only shows a single resolution in the list of resolutions (even if Show all resolutions is on) for the virtual display.

When I look at the nxserver.log, I do keep this line being repeated over and over again:

    2000 259 2023-11-06 18:18:01 583.152 Features/Features: WARNING! Assuming 13.0 compatibility.

Is your Mac headless? This is the reason why you can only see in your system settings one resolution: 1920 x 1080 . And that’s the resolution that NoMachine will display.

Another think that needs to be clarified: you mention “virtual display”. NoMachine for Mac products do not create a virtual display. What you are connecting to is the physical desktop of the operating system.

This is just a warning related to compatibility. In the next update, it will be fixed.

No, this is a regression. On my Intel mac mini running macOS Monterey I was able to resize the client window properly. When I upgraded to an M2 Mac Mini running Ventura, it no longer was able to resize the display. When I upgraded that mac to Sonoma, the issue persisted.

No it isn’t 🙂 Earlier versions had more than one resolution available in headless mode. On Sonoma this changed. Unless of course your Mac isn’t a headless. You didn’t make this clear.

I forgot to mention that you can try attaching a dongle, this will trick the Mac Mini into thinking there is a monitor attached.
