Hello,
Around the end of October I posted a question about using key-based authentication with NX client. Titan provided a lengthy, detailed answer — thanks. I just wanted to follow up on this part of Titan’s answer:
We have key-based authentication implemented in the NX protocol and we use it for server-to-server communication, for example in the cluster. Unfortunately still missing is key selection and GUI integration in the client. Once implemented, key-based authentication for the NX protocol will mirror the SSH implementation, so you will be able to insert the key as you do now for SSH.
I just downloaded the latest build (4.0.369) and checked its changelogs, as well as those for all previous builds newer than what I asked about originally (namely: 4.0.{362,365,366,367,368}), but none seem to have any news about implementing the key-based auth Titan mentions. Is there any news about this (that I simply overlooked)? If not, where might I look for any information about approximately when this is planned to be implemented?
Thanks in advance,
H.
p.s. Apologies for starting a new thread, but the original got closed and locked after 10 days, and I couldn’t see a way to re-open it to post this followup.
