MaximeParticipantHello,
I would like to set the individual resolution of the two monitors connected to my client (server is a Linux Virtual Machine) as explained here:
https://www.nomachine.com/changing-how-you-view-the-remote-host
in the section “Setting a custom resolution” –> “multi-monitor setups”.
but the NoMachine Client does not detect my second monitor. Actually, it detects it sometimes and I’m having a hard time trying to understand when. Sometimes (but most often not), it detects that there is a second monitor and gives me the option after starting the session to set different resolutions in Use custom resolution in the Display Settings where I can see Monitor 1 and 2.
Most of the time, there is only Monitor 1 showing up.
Windows 7 Enterprise / NX Client 6.0.8 / NX Server 6.2.4
Can someone shed some lights?
Thanks in advance!
M.

TorParticipantHi Maxime.
The panel you’re using for the configuration is related to server side monitors, it doesn’t list the monitor you’re using on the client, this is why you don’t see them listed.
Are you creating a virtual desktop, or are you connecting to the physical desktop of the Linux Virtual Machine?November 16, 2018 at 12:14 #20498
MaximeParticipantHi Tor,
Thanks for your answer!
I am creating a new virtual desktop.
The issue is that I have 2 4k monitors connected to the client, and we do not manage to spread the virtual desktop on both monitors with maximum resolution as described here: https://www.nomachine.com/es/AR05O00930
Full screen on one monitor works fine with 4k resolution.
Thanks for your help,
M.

TorParticipantThe article is correct, but there is a problem occurring on virtual desktops, you can find here all details:
Can’t create virtual desktops having a 7680×2880 screen or above
https://www.nomachine.com/TR12N07455That may be what is preventing your configuration from working correctly. A fix will be released shortly.

MaximeParticipantHi Tor,
Thanks for the info.
Is it possible for you to say how long “shortly” will last?
Thanks!
M.

TorParticipantThe fix has been already included in the release candidate version, so I’d say a couple of weeks. 🙂

MaximeParticipantGreat, thanks! 🙂
