Hi,
I am having trouble connecting to a machine running Windows 11 and I’m not sure if its just because NoMachine is not compatible with Windows 11 yet or another issue. I am using the free version and it is up to date. I have also tried reinstalling after removing completely.
The server says it is running and the gateway port shows it is working (and have also tried with UPnP disabled and forwarded the port with the same result). I have tried using password authentication (although no password is set on this machine but that doesnt stop me connecting to another machine without a password) and I’ve tried using a private key. Both give the session negotiation error. This happens both externally and locally. I can use this machine to connect to other computers without any issue.
I am using Windows firewall and NoMachine is allowed for all the entries added.
The user nx has the following permissions:Act as part of the operating system
Log on as a service
Adjust memory quotas for a process
Replace a process level tokenI thought it was machine specific so I span up a Windows 11 VM on another computer and I have the same issue, so I’m leaning towards a Windows 11 issue. Is anyone else using Windows 11 and got it working? Is there any settings i can check?
If you would like logs, which ones would you need?
Thanks

We aren’t aware of similar problems with this version, so the best thing is for us to check the logs of the affected Windows 11 host. Can you follow the instructions here and then send the logs you extract via email to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com? Just put the topic title in the subject of your email. Thanks!

Something I missed is what you wrote just above. This might be an important factor here. Please see here: https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/access-windows-pc-that-doesnt-have-password

I didn’t change anything on the Windows 10 machines I didnt think (but maybe i did years ago) and i know Microsoft wants Windows 11 to be more secure i will give this a try and if this doesn’t work I’ll email the logs from the host machine

Thanks
