    Hello,

I’m using NoMachine on a pc with Ubuntu as server and an Android tablet as client. I want the server-side application to start before the login to the desktop environment, so I don’t have to log in from my pc in order to connect from my tablet. I could do this with Teamviewer, but already uninstalled it because NoMachine is way faster.

    Thank you.

It already does what you are asking 🙂 All of our servers let you connect to the remote desktop when the login screen is showing. We aren’t aware of any bugs regarding this. Can you tell us the Linux distribution and version you are using on the server side?

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

The server uses Ubuntu version 14.04.3 LTS. The error I get from the client is “Authentication failed. Please try again. When joining a domain, don’t forget to specify the username as domain\user”. But after log in from the server,  I stop getting this message and can connect with no problems with NoMachine.

I just made a quick test from Android client to the latest NoMachine 5 installed on Ubuntu 14 and don’t have any problem. I see the system’s login screen. Have you tried the latest version? It might be a good idea to send us logs. Follow the instructions here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT04M00076 send to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure to reference your topic.
