    Hi!

    I’m running NoMachine 8.4.2 on KDE Neon 5.27 and I receive a “Connection reset by peer” when trying to connect to the my physical Linux display.

    XWayland is running.

    I attempt to enable EGL capture:

    sudo ./nxserver –eglcapture yes

    I receive the following error:

    NX> 900 EnableEGLCapture key set to: 1.
    NX> 900 Cannot find any display manager script.

    I’ve attached my log files.  Let me know if anything is missing.

    Hi, is the desktop running in a VM or on a physical machine? Can you also tell us the specific graphic card and what drivers are installed (i. are they proprietary drivers?)

    Hi!  Sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

    NoMachine is running on a physical host running KDE Neon.

    The graphics card is the AMD Radeon RX480 and I’m running the open-source drivers from Mesa.  I’ve attached txt files for OpenCL, OpenGL (EGL), OpenGl (GLX), and Vulkan

    I report the same results

    The connection with the server was lost.

    Error is 104: Connection reset by peer.

    I’m trying to remote into a Nobara (Fedora 37) on physical laptop running NOMACHINE server 8.4.2 (fresh install). It seems to be Wayland related since if switch the Nobara to use X11 it works using my login credentials.

    @angelogia

    Are you using Gnome on the Nobara machine?

    I figured it was Wayland related.  I’ll switch back to X11 and see what happens.

    8.5.3 and this hasn’t been fixed yet.

    Unfortunately it didn’t make the 8.5. MR. Watch out for the fix in the next update.

    @fra81

    I’m using Nobara (Fedora 37) KDE Plasma 5.27.4 with all of the updates and again is switch to X11 instead of Wayland it works fine. Still broken the same as of 5-23-2023 running NoMachine 8.5.3 (on both ends) with all defaults.

    Any ETA on when Wayland support will be fixed? 8.5.3-1 still has the same problem.

    Well, Wayland is still very much in development, especially for KDE, and practically every release of every distribution changes things and NoMachine then has to adapt. So it’s not that there is no lack of support in NoMachine 😉

    As for this specific issue, the fix will be in the next available maintenance. It did not make the 8.6 release last week.
