I have 2 computers  on the same network  Linux Mint 22  Windows 11

I can log into Linux using default User name & Password

I can log into Windows 11 as a guest

I can not log into Linux using default User name & Password

    Linux IP address  ***.***.***.193

    Windows IP address  ***.***.***.195

I am much with Linux. It seems the issue might be the Windows login.I have logged in with the 4 digit as well as full password.

Any help would be much appreciated

“I can not log into Linux using default User name & Password”

You wrote Linux but you mean Windows, right? What error message are you seeing when you attempt to login?
Please check this article about accepted usernames and formats

What username are you using? Are you able to log in using the name of the account in short format (Local Account ‘username’ which you can see when going to C:\Users) and password?

Windows logging into Linux works as guest and User and password

Linux is only able to login is as guest on Windows 11, Sorry for the confusion,

I did use short format “admin” and that did allow login into Windows 11. I that I tried that but my password was probably wrong.

Thanks for your quick response. It helped me figure out a solution.
