I’ve just installed NoMachine, v 9.1.24 on a host running Mac OS 15.7.1. I’m trying to share a printer from the client, printer is visible, but if I try to print, the printer is Paused and in CUPS I get the following error:

“Failed to change owner of temporary pdf file: /Library/Application Support/NoMachine/var/tmp/nxprint/Mac-mini-1002-492ED8B625D002DE7A619C3649EE8DBD/nxprint-Facturen_(NoMachine)-2.pdf ”

I’ve checked this location, There’s no PDF, so maybe the problem isn’t with changing the owner, but even with creating the file. I’ve tried changing permissions on the above folder tree, even up to POSIX 777. Nothing seems to work.

I’ve seen some posts about printing with NoMachine in Mac OS Environments and have already tried some suggestions found in this forum or knowledge base. Without any succes. I’ve found and tried the following:

    https://kb.nomachine.com/AR09M00860?s=local+print
    https://kb.nomachine.com/AR05K00674?s=print+mac

Does anyone recognise this behaviour and/or maybe have a solution?

    Thanks, Patrick

Hi, we have reproduced this behaviour and have opened a Trouble Report here: https://kb.nomachine.com/TR03V11109

Please use the link to monitor its status.

If the printer is not shared as a network printer, but plugged in with USB cable, you could try sharing the printer as a USB device. After plugging in the printer with USB cable to the Mac server, start the NoMachine connection, open the menu (Ctrl+Alt+0) and select Connect a USB device, and select the device. You would need to have the printer drivers already installed on the Mac.
