Windows 10 (build 19042.867)
HP Envy x360 (13-ay0049au)
NoMachine 7.3.2
I have been annoyed by episodes of high CPU usage by the system that occur without any obvious trigger. It just starts randomly even when I am not using NoMachine. If I signed out of Windows and log back in, the problem is gone. This happens once every day.
A quick look into Windows Performance Analyzer revealed that it has something to do with nxusbf.sys which seems to be a part of NoMachine (see the attached screenshot).
Since I use NoMachine only as a client, I guess I do not really need nxusbf.sys, which seems to provide USB sharing of the server. If there is a way to completely uninstall nxusbf.sys, that would be nice. Any help is appreciated.
Things I tried and did not work:
I disabled NoMachine server and turned off USB-sharing on “Server settings” of NoMachine app.
I uninstalled and re-installed NoMachine.
I tried uninstalling and disabling NoMachine USB Host Adapter.
