Needing to give external consultant access to a test environment on my Win 10 Pro PC, where they can assess the code of a DX11 3D project we will need to further develop on. The goal is having an environment he can only see the specific code he need to look at, run the 3D built application, possibly without being able to download the code itself.

The safest way I have tought is creating on my PC a Hyper-V Win 10 Pro VM, that will need to access the PC GTX 1070 GPU.

The easiest way I have discovered in doing so is using GPU paravirtualization, through the script Easy-GPU-PV. This is installing and using [removed] for remote connection, wanted to ask if there is any way to get NoMachine working trough this same way, due the fact I’m using NoMachine every day.

Hi, you can do exactly the same thing with NoMachine except you will have to perform those steps manually (given that Easy-GPU-PV uses a built-in script to install the other product).

You could use the /verysilent install method to install NoMachine

Thanks, unfortunately I didn’t have the time nor the knowledge to modify the script myself.

Looking inside and understanding what is doing and replicating manually is also beyond my available time and knowledge.

Due the fact is working fine in my case with 50% of the GPU available to the VM, I think this way of working will be suited for many use cases and GPU-P seems to be a technology officially provided from MS, I suggest will be good create on your side a NoMachine version of the script or integrate the feature in NoMachine itself.

Maybe you could go back to the developer of the project in question and ask them how to modify their script to use NoMachine instead of the other tool they are using? 😉

Being another Remote Desktop vendor affiliate I highly doubt will be interested 😉
