I have a Windows 10 laptop that has a native resolution of 1920×1080. I am trying to connect to it from a Windows 10 desktop that has a monitor with a 3840×2160 resolution. I have previously just been using RDP to connect to this machine, but that has a few issues. I would like to use NoMachine instead, but I have downloaded the free version and the Enterprise trial version, and neither seem to let me connect with a resolution higher than the native 1920×1080 resolution. Am I missing something, or is this a hard limitation? I don’t mind buying an Enterprise license if this is possible.

    Thanks!

When the connecting to the physical desktop, the supported resolutions are those of the remote graphics card as listed in the System settings on the server. I.e., the session resolution on the client cannot be higher than the maximum resolution supported by the remote graphics card.
