Hello to everyone.
I’m experiencing various problems with this forum and with the behavior of the tool, NoMachine client and/or server and I can make a summary :
1) the topics that I create on the forums disappears or they aren’t accepted and I don’t know the reasons
2) speaking about the problems that I’m experiencing with NoMachine,I’m not able to understand why the resolution of ubuntu that I have installed on the jetson nano is always reset to 640×480,no matter what I do. It seems unabled to keep it. Sometime it seems that it sticks, but I don’t understand what I do to achieve this goal (if I do something)
3) flickering problem using NoMachine as client on Windows 10 and NoMachine as server on ubuntu on jetson nano
4) problems of NoMachine client to discover new computers on my lan network. I always get the error message “no computer were found on your local network”
December 31, 2020 at 15:40 #31072BritgirlKeymasterThanks for alerting us to the issues you’ve been having with the forums. We’ll investigate. Just to recap, this is your second topic (the other one is about flickering and I asked you to submit the video via email because big attachments aren’t allowed and sometimes removed because of our spam filter) đ However, I don’t think it will be necessary as Fra has understood what you mean.
Regarding the problems you’re having with NoMachine on Jetson Nano. For the flickering, please consult your other topic. https://forums.nomachine.com/topic/flickering-problem.
For problem number 4, please check that you have turned on the “advertize feature” in the ports panel. Disabling it on the server means that computer wonât show up in the connections panel. Check here: https://www.nomachine.com/finding-other-nomachine-computers-on-the-same-network
Check that you have not disabled seeing other usersâ computers in the âMachinesâ panel, which are being advertized on the network. This is done on the player side: the box âDonât show other computers on the networkâ in the Privacy panel of the player. See this guide for more info: Â https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00154#2.5. If you’re still not seeing other computers on LAN, we’ll need to know what OS computers you should be finding on the LAN and what version is installed of NoMachine.
For problem number 2, it’s related to problem number 3) and that your Jetson Nano is headless. The video cards installed do not work well on a headless set-up. This is not really the fault of NoMachine. I suggest you read this article which explains a few ways to work with headless Linux.

And under Ubuntu I went under monitor setting and I have chosen : “HDMI-0, resolution 1920 x 1080,refresh rate 60. In addition, I went under the display configuration panel of NoMachine and I’ve chosen “adapt to the window” ; I have also clicked on “modify display settings” and I have chosen “use a custom resolution to 1920 x 1080” ; quality = better. But the flickering problem is still there.

Did you already consult our tips for using Jetson Nano? If not, and you are using Unity, please consider changing desktop environment.

I have one further thing to understand : how to switch automatically the mouse cursor from the ubuntu / jetson nano / os to the Windows 10 / NoMachine client OS and viceversa, automatically without to press a shortkey combinations of keys. Thanks.

What do you mean? Have you enabled “Grab the mouse input”? If so, the only way to unblock the “grab” is by using the keyboard shortcuts, in this case Control+Alt+Click.
