Hi,
I am using Manjaro Gnome Wayland. In the “/usr/NX/etc/node.cfg” file, there are three options for “WaylandModes”, “drm”, “compositor” and “egl”. I understand that the “compositor” option is using the pipewire screenshare functionality. In Gnome, when Pipewire screenshare is used, there is an icon appearing in the system bar.
I tested a bit but “compositor” option does not seem to work on my intel laptop as well as my PC with Nvidia GPU. I can see the Pipewire screenshare icon appearing in the system bar, but I only see grey screen when connected remotely. On my intel laptop, things work if I use “drm” option. For the PC with Nvidia GPU, “drm” does not work. In terms of “egl”, it makes some changes to my system setting, which essentially disable Wayland after I reboot the computer.
Pipewire is working really well at least for Gnome Wayland, I am curious why it does not seem to work with NoMachine.
Thanks very much.
Regards,
