    Gnome Wayland works fine finally, yet Niri, Sway and Hyprland all blank screen after GDM auth.

    Is NoMachine known to work with any single config based Wayland tiling window managers, Gnome spews config everywhere so not really interested in their plugin ecosystem here.

    Not a VM, Intel nuc / intel GPU, Fedora 43.

    Just noticed this https://forum.nomachine.com/topic/no-display-found-wayland-no-default-environment-2 which suggests it’s working.

    @britgirl
    did you do anything special here to make this work? admittedly I’m a fedora user so perhaps there something a miss with this distro setup

    Hi, at the moment, we support KDE and Gnome. There’s limited support for Wayland tiling managers, for now. NoMachine supports the DRM screen capture method which is not usable in all cases. So some tiling managers can work, for example, when it’s possible to capture the screen via DRM, this depends on the video drivers available and whether they support this capture method. The other topic you mentioned, we had done a test on the fly with Arch (a distro we don’t officially support) and we didn’t see any evident issues at the time.

    Thank you.

    Would you expect “Intel Corporation TigerLake-LP GT2 [Iris Xe Graphics]” to support DRM?

    Does one have to disable EGL for this to work?

    If it’s not working for you, you probably already have your answer. But it’s whether the drivers support screen capture of DRM (i.e not the video card itself). But you can send us the logs and we will check what’s happening. You can get the logs from the Security panel of the Server settings. Scroll down to the Take logs button, save the file and then send that to us.

    You can try disabling it, but it should not be necessary.
