I have heard Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is going to be released today at ~17:00 GMT.

I am currently running NoMachine 6.9.2 on an Ubuntu 19.04 Machine

The PC is located  300+ miles away from where I live so if something goes wrong it will take at least 4 weeks to fix it.

My question is if I update my Ubuntu Sofware later when it is released will NoMachine start up after the update so I can access it?

    Cheers,

We do rigorous testing, replicating typical user scenarios like this. When we tested the beta version of Ubuntu, there were no issues with NoMachine automatically restarting afterwards. However, you can’t exclude that something may go wrong with the actual update itself, not that NoMachine won’t restart.

We will also be testing Ubuntu 20 LTS, so we can add it to our official list of supported distros. This normally takes about 30 days.

Definitely don’t update till the point release of 20.04 comes out.  That is usually August.  When you see 20.04.1 then upgrade. Till then you have to force the upgrade and it may break.

During the upgrade my experience says that NoMachine will be fine.
