    Hi,

My Win 10 laptop can connect to the Pi4 and a message appears on the Pi screen saying “the screen is being viewed” but the NoMachine browser is just white. After 10 seconds it disconnects and tries again until it finally gives up and says “error 108 peer ended connection” (or something very close to that).

Not sure why the logs won’t upload as they are the logs taken directly from the Nomachine “save logs” but anyway, I saw on another thread that stopping Wayland could solve the problem and it did !

So, thanks to the other thread I’m up and running. Be back soon !

Thanks for following up with that. Are you using NoMachine 8.13 both sides? Can we know the desktop environment on the Raspberry? Is it KDE or something else?

Yes 8.13.1 on both. Raspberry desktop environment I can’t find…I’ve tried some stuff I found, various commands and Screenfetch, but I can’t get any info that looks like a desktop environment name. It’s just a standard install though, that’s all I’ve got, Sorry.

The distro and the DE would be useful for us to help us with our investigation. To find the desktop environments installed on your system 🙂

    1) Execute this command in a terminal:

    ls /usr/share/xsessions

    Thanks for that.

    So I’ve got “lightdm-xsession.desktop  LXDE.desktop  LXDE-pi-x.desktop   openbox.desktop”

So not KDE, which is what we thought you might have been using.

The first time you uploaded the logs, they failed to attach. If you have a chance to reproduce the problem again on Wayland, please follow the instructions here and send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
