White screen only if using NoMachine on the connection screen

Hello,

I am using NoMachine 9.3.7 and have noticed a strange issue with an up to date Manjaro system that uses Wayland and a GUI login screen.

If I physically login on the machine to open my session and then use NoMachine to connect to it, everything is fine.

But if after boot, I use NoMachine to connect to the GUI login screen, I can see it properly, login and start my session, but the, all I get is a blank white screen. After a while, the client gets disconnected with a “connection reset by peer error”.

I tried restarting the nxserver.service but that did not change the situation.

Hi, can you send us the complete logs from that machine you are connecting to, so we can check? Go to the Settings > Server > Security, and Take logs. You can submit them here or send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com (use the title of this topic for the subject of your email). Thanks!

Hi, can you try to run sudo /etc/NX/nxserver --eglcapture yes and then reboot, just to make sure the EGL library is properly loaded? If you still reproduce the problem after these steps, please send in new logs.

I’m not sure how this was turned off in the first place, but it did help.
