    Hi,

I have problems connecting to a scriptserver for sql-queries. I use VPN and SSH to connect to the server. My colleagues do not have that problem, but they are using NoMachineNX for Mac. Either I get an ‘Timeout-Error’ or ‘I/O-Failure’ when trying to create a connection. I had a connection twice for a few seconds but then also got an error. My colleagues with Macs have the option to choose whether to use a proxy or not, which I did not have (we are supposed to use no proxy).

    Thanks in advance!

    Client: Windows 10, 7.0.211_4

Server: Linux, Terminal Server Subscription, 6.7.6

Can you send us client-side logs of the affected session?

    Instructions are here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT11R00181#2

You can send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure you use the title of the topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!

    Hi klnbrk,

Thank you! We received the log file you sent us. Although, the log is not the correct one.

By default, the client deletes logs from previous connections, so we suggest you to pack all the R-* directories and to make sure that they are not being deleted.

There are two ways to collect logs:
    1. open Settings, Security and check the box “Don’t delete log files on exit”. We strongly advise to uncheck the box after collecting the logs, to avoid to leave unwanted files.
    2. copy the logs while the player window showing the error is still open (in such case logs have not been removed yet).

You can find more instructions here.
Again, you can send the logs to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure you use the title of the topic as the subject of your email.

    Thanks!

Hi klnbrk. Your logs point out networking problems, it looks like you loose the connection to the VPN and to the remote desktop, and from that time on the client could not reconnect because it could not find the server host. Could you verify the network stability with ‘ping’ or similar tools?
