I am using NoMachine v5.2.11 on a Windows 10 laptop to connect to a Windows 7 machine via RDP.

So long as Windows’s desktop scaling on the client (Settings -> Customize your Display -> “Change the size of text, apps and other items”) is set to 100%, everything works.

Unfortunately, with this set to 100% things are illegibly small on my laptop screen. If I set it to the 125% that I usually use, then when I connect to the remote machine NoMachine crops off the bottom and right parts of the remote machine’s desktop (I imagine that it’s showing 80%, or 1/1.25, of the screen in each dimension from the top left). This makes the remote machine unusable, as the start menu and task bar are not shown. So far as I can tell, no NoMachine client resolution settings can solve this.

Is this a known problem? If so, is there a fix? If not, how do I file a bug report? If any other info might help, please just ask.

    Thanks.

PS This is appears to be related to, but is not a duplicate of, https://www.nomachine.com/TR10M06072 (that related to scaling on the remote machine, this relates to scaling on the client)

Hi. I assume you’re using an Enterprise or Cloud Server on Linux as a bridge for your RDP connection. Can you please confirm it, together with the NoMachine version you’re using on Linux? Also, what is the rdesktop version on the Linux server? We didn’t reproduce your issue in our labs, so we need this information to go on with the investigation.
