Hi Britgirl, appreciate this, will try this if my next method doesn’t work. I will reinstall Windows via USB from scratch on my mother’s PC, mine and her desktop, and make sure that we are on the same system. For her two computers, using one user and on mine a different user on the same domain.
thealainpaulParticipantAnother note is I have my mother’s laptop set up as a work or school account, using her work domain of her own business.
thealainpaulParticipantCould the fact that I have MFA set up be conflicting? Since the Microsoft Authorization app isn’t prompting me to verify the sign in…?
thealainpaulParticipantHi Britgirl thanks for responding.
I can confirm that I did try the pin, which you suggested not to, but also tried the user password many times.
I also tried using the email as username of my mother’s Microsoft account, all unsuccessful.
I mean I really have tried many things on various forums, and have spent hours trying spanning several days.
thealainpaulParticipantNot sure if my response came through, so just in case, here it is again:
1. No error message other than, “Authentication failed, please try again.”
Using Windows 11 Pro on both PCs, I have access through Help Desk, but this isn’t setup as unattended access.
thealainpaulParticipant- There is no error, except that the credentials are incorrect, username or password.
