But I already perform commands from that topic and they gave me 5.3.12 version.

But you say “you still have an old 3.5.0 license for NX free edition in place”.
And that’s because my update to 6x fails.

How did you check that ?

I perform:

rpm -e nomachine
rm -rf /usr/NX
rpm -i nomachine_6.0.66_2_x86_64.rpm

And now I can connect to updated VDS w/o problems – thank you!

However – could you pls tell me how can I see “We see that you still have an old 3.5.0 license for NX free edition in place”?
I need to check other servers also…

Pls note that I collect those data on current (not upgraded yet) VDS.

I run:

# /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –version
NoMachine – Version 4.6.16

# /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –subscription
NX> 621 You appear to run an unsubscribed product. Please visit
NX> 621 the NoMachine Web site at http://www.nomachine.com/
NX> 621 to acquire a valid subscription.

So – what version am I use? Free or Workstation?

I’m not sure I understand you.

I’ve use free 3x and want to use free 4x-5x.
So I’ve download and upgrade server from free 3x to free 4x.
But now (when I try to upgrade server from 4x to 5x) your system wrote me that I use not free but Workstation.

But I do not want workstation.
Could you pls specify exactly – what should I do now to get free not Workstation?

As I understand Workstation will be suspended after 1 mo, when free-version won’t?

I’d like my server not suspended…

But I didn’t install any Workstation.

When I have hav 3x then I go to ur site and download free 4x RPM for Linux64.

Could you pls tell me why do I have not free but Workstation?

And how to have free-version now?

Seems that’s right – NX 4x server/client has no such problem, only 3x server.

Is it possible to tune 3x server?

Or can I migrate from 3x server to 4x server w/o server machine content/functionality/data lost?

Yes, I’ve use both NX 3x and NX 4x clients to connect to my remote OS.
Problem happens when I copy on my remote OS and paste on my host OS.

Problem happens for all nonEnglish characters.
