ParticipantHello,
I am experiencing a mouse pointer misalignment issue after rebooting my Linux Mint system when accessing it remotely via NoMachine. The graphical representation of the cursor (arrow) does not align with the actual mouse pointer position. The actual pointer position is slightly offset to the side and up/down (I don’t recall the exact direction).
NoMachine Version: 8.16.1 (free version)
Local:
Laptop ASUS 17″
Linux Mint 21.3
Desktop env.: MATERemote:
PC with TV screen 55″
Linux Mint 21.3
Desktop env.: CinnamonThis issue occurs after rebooting the remote PC and reconnecting to the remote desktop via NoMachine. The misalignment can be temporarily resolved by logging out of the remote desktop and logging back in.
It appears similar to the issue described in this thread, although my setup is on Linux Mint rather than Mac:
I have now enabled “Always show remote cursor pointer” but haven’t had a chance to test if it resolves the issue. When enabled, my cursor moves bit lazier and not that smooth.
Any suggestions or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

KeymasterHi, that other problem is indeed specific to a macOS, it’s related to a macOS windowing feature 🙂 On Linux Mint it’s strange because it’s one of the more popular amongst our users and we test regularly and we aren’t aware of a similar issue.
Thanks for the environment details. Whilst we investigate your issue, can you send us the complete set of logs? From both server and player machines, with debug enabled on the server? The instructions to get both are here: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243
Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com (or attach here). Please use the title of this topic as the subject of your email. Thanks!

ParticipantHi. Did you maybe notice if the issue occurs when switching the resize mode from “Scale to window” to “Resize remote display”? We reproduced a similar problem with that resize mode switch and we also noticed that in this particular state the client scales the desktop instead of resizing it, so you could verify your client resize configuration and change the window size to confirm if you’re having the same issue.
