    Hi,

As a further test I installed the Enterprise Client on a Linux machine and then connected to the same server. I didn’t see the artifacts and also I didn’t get the warning that Cinnamon was running in software rendering mode.

So, it definitely looks like a Windows Enterprise Client issue (which I kind of expected), and there is something inherently different in the way the Linux and Windows clients work at least with respect rendering (which I did not expect at all).

    Regards.

    HI,

I have tested using KDE and it works OK, no artifacts, however I prefer Cinnamon.

    Regards.

Sorry, I didn’t see this reply. Just like to confirm that all issues (virtual desktop and Evolution) are resolved in the latest 4.3.24. Please mark this issue solved as I can’t find any option to do it.

    Regards.

Thanks. I can confirm that the workaround works for me.

One of the reasons that I wanted to install this update is that the description mentioned something about “Updating to latest version of X11”. Did this happen? I still get the problem that Evolution crashes when I try to write a mail, I reported this and it was diagnosed as an imcompatibility with the version of X11 used by NoMachine and that it would be updated sometime this year.

    Regards.

Thanks. Is there any time schedule on NoMachine 5?

    Hi Anamon,

I had similar problems on a headless Debian box. The free version of NoMachine 4 only shares the physical screen. In my case Debian booted up with a default VGA configuration (640×480), totally useless for doing any work, but at least a connection. The Workstation license enables virtual desktops, this allows you to connect to the remote box using a screen with the same resolution as your client computer.

This configuration works OK for me, however personally I would prefer XRANDR support so I can resize the client window size.

    Regards.

Hi. Any news on this? It’s been 2 months now and still no update (just tried on 4.2.26).

    Regards.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea when the transition will be completed?

    Regards.
