    Hi Britgirl,

    Thanks for pointing in the right direction!
    The following combination caused the issue:
    1. The Windows client is not case-sensitive, the Mac client however is. Using the same username in Win/Mac will not give the same behavior. (User caused the issue)
    2. Non-latin characters used in the username.

    I’m glad you made me rethink the username/password choices I made.

    The message is straight forward:
    Authorisation failed, please try again (translated).

    What I tried:
    – login as guest
    – open a texteditor on the remote Linux machine
    – check how the characters show there, coming from the mac client
    All keys pressed show as corresponding characters.
    Does this prove that a “keyboard layout mismatch” is not the reason for the issue?

    Stuck…

    NoMachine Version 8.14.2 on all Hardware
