I tried the d&d from the remote again.

It does work, but sometimes it shows the d&d status (it appears on the client as you cross the border) as it happens, sometimes it doesn’t.

Doesn’t seem related to what kind of file or the file size.

I can drag in, NP.

But from the Remote, not at all, no matter which border or how slow I go.

Also, not connected and perhaps I already suggested.

A keyboard short cut for grabbing the mouse and one for grabbing both the keyboard and the mouse.

Figured it out.
Make a Multi-Output Device on the remote Mac in Audio Midi that includes the client audio destination (me) and the NoMachine audio adapter on the Remote Mac.

Figured this out.  I was having an issue with the admin acct.  Fixed that and NoMachine is allowing me to start/stop/restart server.

here’s some more data.

Again, mini is running Big Sur.  I have discovered that I cannot checkbox toggle:

Allow guest desktop sharing ….. server.

Make access available … login screen.

Though that probably makes sense considering the other issues.

Changes disabled – nothing

Quit NoMa – from the menu bar – nothing.

FWIW my pIP doesn’t show in the Main Window  – UPnP is checked in the router.  This doesn’t matter as I can always look up if  ddns fails or something screwy happens.

Main Window and Service status are they same window?  Coz that’s what I’m seeing.

Thanks Britgirl.  That explains and that’s fine.  We’ll try running Facetime to hear each other.  Otherwise I’m sure the cell will suffice when he needs help.
