Hello, Dan25!
dumps with logs: http://ge.tt/8dwm7lG1/v/0
I also noticed that when db/failed takes up space “nxserver –list” takes a long time to show me sessions list
snejokParticipantsimilar problem:
snejokParticipantHello, all!
Server and Node OS: ubuntu-12.04-server-i386.iso
Client OS: ALT Linux 6.0
Server: nomachine-enterprise-server-evaluation_4.0.369_2_i386.deb (ip – 10.10.19.152)
Node: nomachine-terminal-server-node-evaluation_4.0.369_1_i386.deb (ip – 10.10.19.189)
Client: nomachine-enterprise-client_4.0.369_1_i686.rpm (ip – 10.10.19.50)
Reconnection works only to session, that started on “server node”, reconnection to session, that started on “node” doesn’t work (new session starts again on “server node” by round-robin algorithm).
And small question:
root@ubuntu:~# /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –nodelist
NX> 104 Node list:
NX> 104 .
Status Connection Node Type LB Weight Limit Label
———– ———– —————————— ——- — ——- —– ———————
running encrypted 10.10.19.189:4000 NX yes
running encrypted localhost:22 NX yes
root@ubuntu:~#
why “out of the box server node” comes with port 22 (proto SSH?), but when I run “nxserver –nodeadd <ip>” its added with port 4000 (proto NX?)?

http://ge.tt/8DwkvCG1/v/0snejokParticipantThank you, reza!
I can wait for a new version, it’s not so serious for me 🙂
snejokParticipantAuthentication as root should work instead
but it doesn’t in one strange situation:
when I add 100 or more users in some group, than I can’t “Enable changes” in “server settings GUI”
for example, I newly installed ubuntu-12.04-server-i386.iso and nomachine-enterprise-server-evaluation_4.0.369_2_i386.deb, then I create 100 users named “user1, user2, …, user100” which members of group sys by this script:
for i in
seq 1 100
;do useradd -G sys user$i;doneafter this I can’t “Enable changes” in “server settings GUI” by root or by “sudo user”
snejokParticipantDan25: yes, its enables user limits on Ubuntu, but my trouble with “open files” was still present.
Problem is that I can’t increase “open files” limit by limits.conf.

snejokParticipantsil04, excuse me, but I don’t understand what do you mean when say “privileged system account” 🙂
It is simply regular user with configured sudo?
What I need to do to give privileges for my regular user?:)
snejokParticipantHello, all!
sil04, what does It mean? only root user?
Or you mean:
nxserver –useradd <username> –administrator
?
snejokParticipantHello, Tor!
I set “ConnectPolicy autocreate=1,autoconnect=1,desktop=0” in server.cfg and after that I can see “Create a new virtual desktop” near “Create a new custom session”.
With “Create a new virtual desktop” reconnection works fine (in single-node mode)! Thank you!
But, reconnection fails, when I set multi-node environment (new virtual sessions starts on another node).
I will give more info and logs when I reproduce this behavior on clean VM’s 🙂
snejokParticipantHello, all!
I noticed some problems with ulimit in virtual session too:
different values of “core file size” and “open files” in “ulimit -a” output when executed locally and executed in NX Virtual Session.
I added only this two lines to /etc/security/limits.conf:
*softnofile10000
*hardnofile12000
Server and Client OS: ubuntu-12.04-server-i386.iso
Server package: nomachine-enterprise-server-evaluation_4.0.369_2_i386.deb
Client package: nomachine-enterprise-client_4.0.369_1_i386.deb
snejokParticipantBritgirl, thank you for your answer!
I found small problem, but I don’t want open new theme, could I write it here?
Problem:
NXPlayer can’t open connection-file by relative path, for example this command:
[user@localhost ~]$ pwd
/home/user
[user@localhost ~]$ /usr/NX/bin/nxplayer NoMachine/myserver.nxs
opens nxplayer in “startup screen”,
but when I try absolute path everything works fine:
[user@localhost ~]$ /usr/NX/bin/nxplayer /home/user/NoMachine/myserver.nxs
Client OS: ubuntu-12.04-server-i386.iso
snejokParticipantI tried it again and result is:
1. NXPlayer doesn’t show me all the desktop types available on that server”, but connects me after I click on ‘Create a new virtual desktop’, but in https://www.nomachine.com/AR07K00681 wrote:
On the server side:
ConnectPolicy autocreate=0,autoconnect=1,desktop=0
On the player side, you will need to follow the same steps as above:– When you connect for the first time to that server: Open NoMachine -> Click Add a computer -> Fill in IP and session name -> Connect -> Click on ‘Create a new virtual desktop’.
– In the next panel showing all the desktop types available on that server, check ‘Save this setting in the configuration file’.
– Choose and create the desktop you want to connect.
– Disconnect the session by closing the window or disconnecting from the menu (ctrl-alt-0 ->
– Launch this connection again: you should be re-connected automatically to the virtual desktop you have created the first time.
Bolded options doesn’t show
2. Reconnection doesn’t work automatically: nxplayer shows me the running sessions (see screenshot)
Be also sure that the first time you connect, you check ‘Save this setting in the configuration file’ in the GUI. Then disconnect and connect once again: you should now be able to reconnect the virtual desktop.
I’m really sure

snejokParticipantHello all!
When I change quality bar to right, this two options change together:
option key=”Link quality” value=”7″
option key=”Link speed” value=”wan”Could I make .nxs file with “Link quality 9” and “Link speed adsl”, for example? Because I need more quality of image, but network link is not so good.
Under “more quality of image” I mean fonts blurring (https://www.nomachine.com/forums/forums/topic/blurry-fonts-with-latest-nomachine-viewer)
