Hello,
We have tried to reproduce the problem by installing NoMachine software on different drive to C:\ but everything functioned correctly.
Please can you send us NoMachine installation logs located at %TEMP%\Setup Log (date).txt?
fishermanModeratorCreate a compressed archive of the NoMachine’s /var/log directory located on Windows XP in
Documents and Settings/All Users/NoMachine/var/log.fishermanModeratorPlease can you collect debug logs from Windows XP host, following this document https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163.
Also, after enabling debug logs restart NoMachine server and then collect logs.
Please upload logs to the forum topic, and if logs are too big, please send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure referencing forum topic.
fishermanModeratorI suggest you try turning off gdm (sudo service gdm stop) and restart NoMachine (sudo /usr/NX/bin/nxserver –restart).
In that case NoMachine launches its own virtual display that is able to resize to any resolution.
fishermanModeratorThank you for your suggestion. We will evaluate to make some tool publicly available.
fishermanModeratorYou may find following article useful https://www.nomachine.com/AR02N00875.
fishermanModeratorThank you for submitting the information 🙂 we will contact the chkrootkit authors about it.
fishermanModeratorIn NoMachine version 5, Domain Administrator user was not correctly recognized during connection and was considered as non-admin user.
In version 6 Domain Administrators are correctly recognized and due to that they are allowed to connect to the running physical desktop session.
This feature can be disabled by editing server.cfg and modifying key to:
EnableAdministratorLogin 0fishermanModeratorNoMachine free version does not support SSH connections. To be able to use SSH in NoMachine you need to have NoMachine Enterprise Desktop with system ssh enabled.
