TeutonJon78ParticipantThis seems to be fixed in NoMachine 5 on both computers.
TeutonJon78ParticipantJust for note, I was setting up another computer for my father, as the same problem.
Intel NUC i5 with HD Graphics 6000. So, it seems to me more of an issue with W10 and Intel graphics hardware, than specific to the Surface.
TeutonJon78ParticipantI already use it, but it would also be nice to have a “maintain aspect ratio” option so that the screen just scaled without distorting. It would of course leave some black bars sometimes.
TeutonJon78ParticipantI’m interested in the resolution slider. Does that change the server resolution, or the size of the window/scaling on the client?
In testing all of the remote options lately, I very much like how the VNC servers let you scale the display to your windows and zoom in and out without affecting the resolution of the server (which can cause the server desktop to move icons around and such). I find NoMachine 4.x very lacking in that regard. Of course, it makes it up in other areas.
Sounds like a good release.
TeutonJon78ParticipantI had this problem as well, 4.6.16. turning off HDMI sound (if you’re using normal speakers) on the client helped to limit the problem some.
TeutonJon78ParticipantExcellent. I’ll be interested to see what new in it.
TeutonJon78ParticipantLogs sent. Turning off acceleration did stop the errors and spurious noises.
