A little follow-up. For the Windows systems the path to the player’s binary file should be something more like this:
    C:\Program Files\NoMachine\bin\nxplayer.exe

Sorry, I just confused ‘the version’, the path I provided is obviously the Linux one. My fault 🙂

    Regards,
    Jakub

    Hello

We’ve tried to reproduce your issue in our labs using the configuration you provided, but we haven’t encountered any problems on our end.
Could you please try opening the application via your terminal and let us know if the issue still persists? To open the player from the command line, run /usr/NX/bin/nxplayer.

    Regards,
    Jakub

We’ve tried to reproduce your issue in our labs, and it looks like it might be a bug we’ve already fixed in our latest release. Could you please try downloading and installing the NoMachine 9.0.188 tar.gz file from our website? Let us know if the issue still persists.

For Arch-based systems, it’s best to follow the README included in the tar.gz file for installation instructions.

    Regards,
    Jakub

From what we’ve found in your logs there are a lot of messages regarding the pa_context_connect() not connecting properly and the PulseAudio / PipeWire environment as a whole.

Could you try to ensure that the pipewire is working correctly and that the “pactl info” returns valid information without any errors?

    Thanks and regards,
    Jakub

Hello and sorry for the late reply.

We are still trying to reproduce your issue in our labs and investigate the problem. Could you send us the logs from the server-side machine?
Here’s how you can gather them: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT07S00243

As well as the server logs requested, the player logs would also be useful, please see “Fourth Step: Collect Client Side Logs” on how you can get them.

    Jakub
