    Hi Tromegan,

You can check the article “How to enable audio on systems relying on PipeWire for sound” (here: NoMachine – How to enable audio on systems relying on PipeWire for sound – Knowledge Base)

We support it on physical desktop but not yet on virtual desktop.

    Thank you in advance !

    Hi joergn1970,

In order to investigate, we need the logs from:

    %USERPROFILE%\.nx

    %ProgramData%\NoMachine\var\log

Can you please send them by email to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, making sure to reference the topic as the subject of the email?

    Thanks!

    Hi Bedlore,

When the system displays a login window in the session, like in your case, it is not possible for NoMachine to automatically log you in to the Windows account. The username and password must be keyed in manually.

    Hi Jacob,

First, I apologise for answering after several days – your email with logs unfortunately got missed.

Then, looking at the logs you sent, we noticed that the connection is closed just after the dialog for accepting a connection is shown.

You use the free version, which allows only one connection: if another user tries to connect, and the session owner accepts, the previous one will be disconnected.

Please check the following article for more info: “How do I share my desktop with another user if I have the free edition installed?” (https://kb.nomachine.com/AR10K00703)

    Kind regards,

    Hi huishi,

We suggest to check and follow the instructions in the article “How to connect over the internet to NoMachine behind a NAT router” (https://kb.nomachine.com/AR04S01122)

Please let us know if you still encounter this connection timeout or if the problem is solved!

    Hi Dmitry,

Unfortunately, live user migration between servers for Linux desktops cannot be done by NoMachine. But you can check lower layer solutions, by example by some kind of virtualization solution.

    Hi jdslavin,

You can modify the global setting in the file – server.cfg .

The command nxserver --useredit USERNAME --screensharing yes stores this settings in the redis DB, that cannot be modified manually.

As for uploading files, some types of documents cannot be uploaded because it has been restricted for security reasons. This is why w always recommend to send us logs via email

    Hi BlueNGray,

One of your files was too big and couldn’t be uploaded (“CPU-Usage-hw-decode-disabled.png”).

Can you please send it by email to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, making sure to reference the topic in subject ?

    Thank you!
