Does this answer your question?
How to terminate or disconnect a virtual desktop session in NoMachine 4
Dan25ParticipantHi
We were unable to reproduce this. In the next release, considerable rewrite of the monitor has been done and it might be that the bug you are encountering could well be fixed, albeit without a specific patch in place.
If you submit a full set of server logs, we can have it checked out to make sure that it’s not happening in 4.1.
Dan25ParticipantInterrupting an installation is always a delicate process. We are investigating. In the meantime can you send us: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\NoMachine\var\log\
and also the output of C:\Program Files\NoMachine\bin\nxserver.exe –status
After which try to execute:
C:\Program\ Files\NoMachine\bin\nxserver.exe –shutdown
Check in the Task Manager if there are any nx processes, and if there are any, kill them and try uninstalling NoMachine again via “Add and Remove Programs” panel.
Dan25ParticipantDisabled audio on the server could be due to a resource list change.
To know what it is, we will need client side logs. From the the server: nxinstall.log and node.cfg files.
Dan25ParticipantHi Chaffees, if you want to run virtual desktops, ie. you need a terminal server, you should try the Workstation. The free NoMachine product gives access to the remote display. See here for a more detailed explanation:

– What is the difference between physical desktop and virtual desktop?
Dan25ParticipantAt the moment, there is no way to forward ctrl+alt+del to the web session. A temporary workaround is to disable ctrl+alt+del on your machine.
A Feature Request has been added to the development roadmap which will allow for the forwarding of the ctrl+alt+del combination from the browser to the remote Windows desktopJanuary 13, 2014 at 16:15 in reply to: NX4: "No available sessions on this server" connecting to linux #1698Dan25ParticipantWe are trying to support all possible distro/WM combinations, see this article for more information:

We haven’t tested FLWM so far, so thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you tell us how you installed FLWM: did it come with Scientific Linux 6 or did you take from another source, for example by compiling from source code?
Dan25ParticipantThanks for reporting this, we have opened a TR. Please see here: https://www.nomachine.com/TR01L04202 😉
Dan25ParticipantHi,
This seems to be bug this bug reported here: https://www.nomachine.com/TR12K04107
If you try to connect again, you should then be able to access the LightDM desktop.
Dan25ParticipantCan you provide some more information about your hardware e.g. Kernel: Linux 2.6.34.1-vortex86-sg on i586
Run this command,
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/NX/lib /usr/NX/bin/nxkeygen -u
and paste the output.

Why user limits set by the administrator may be not preserved in a new virtual desktop
https://www.nomachine.com/AR01L00769Dan25ParticipantI know you say you don’t want to tunnel, but if you want to use SSH with NoMachine (free version) you need to tunnel the NX protocol through an SSH connection.
Connecting by SSH to a free NoMachine 4 server
https://www.nomachine.com/AR10K00728Dan25ParticipantI have seen this noted as a bug. I tried connecting a USB mouse via NM as a workaround and this failed. Any other suggestions?
Yes, the bug reference is here: https://www.nomachine.com/TR11K04024 and its fix should be available soon.
Is there an option to not mirror the physical display, and instead have a virtual display that is the size of my local monitor?
What you need is the Workstation for Linux. The virtual desktop functionality is one of the features of the Enterprise range: https://www.nomachine.com/product&p=NoMachine%20Workstation
Dan25ParticipantLooks similar to the Trouble Report here:
https://www.nomachine.com/TR10K03998
Does the workaround help?
Dan25ParticipantA bug with domain accounts was recently fixed. People are investigating if the same bug may also affect the client administration GUI. Note that the 4.0.367 doesn’t include the fix since it required further testing.
