Unfortunately, We’ve been unable to reproduce this problem using the latest version of NoMachine.
To simplify the process of recompiling the USB module you can run with sudo a nxusb.sh script in /usr/NX/scripts/restricted/ directory with “–update-module” flag as a 3rd argument.
Here’s an example:
sudo /usr/NX/scripts/restricted/nxusb.sh “” “” –update-moduleI hope It’ll help
Dawid.GParticipantHello, did you try connecting your smartcard via a dedicated service?
Here’s how to do it: https://kb.nomachine.com/DT10O00156#4.5
Dawid.GParticipantHi,
unfortunately, we weren’t able to reproduce your issue. Please send us the output of this command from your MacInCloud machine while trying to share a USB device:sudo launchctl list | grep nxusb
We would also appreciate it if you would send us NoMachine client and server logs via email using this guide (forum[at]nomachine[dot]com:
https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/DT11R00181
Thanks
Dawid.GParticipantHello,
reinstalling NoMachine and rebooting may help. If the problem still persists please collect and send us the logs using this guide:

Dawid.GParticipantHello,
since NoMachine 7.8.2 update kext drivers are no longer needed on MacOS 12 and USB service should be working without it.
If you encounter problems with forwarding USB devices, you may try to restart your machine and make sure all the permissions required by NoMachine are granted in the “Security & Privacy” settings.
Dawid.GParticipantHi
Could you please give us some more information, for example:
– What’s the exact version of your Kali Linux distro?
– What’s the version of the kernel on that machine?
– What’s the verbose output of insmod command when trying to install the USB Drivers? Thanks
Dawid.GParticipantIt’d be great if you’d install a package from the link you’ll receive via e-mail and send us back the client and the server logs if it is possible.
Here’s an article on how to do it: How to gather debug logs for support requests
Thanks!
Dawid.GParticipantIs it ok if we’d send you a debug package in order to get more detailed logs?
Please install if possible the package you’ll receive via e-mail and send us a client and the server logs you will acquire by following this article: https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163
It would be also great if you’d send us Event logs from the “C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs” directory
Thanks
Dawid.GParticipantHello,
You may try something like this:
1. Uninstall NoMachine
2. Unregister “NoMachine USB Hub Filter” in Windows registry. You can find info about this following this link: https://www.nomachine.com/it/AR10K00732
3. Reboot
4. Install NoMachine
I hope it helps.

Dawid.GParticipantTry to disable Secure Boot in your VM settings.
Alternatively, you can do this using mokutil. To do so, run these commands:
sudo yum install mokutil
sudo mokutil --disable-validation
Hope it’ll help
Dawid.GParticipantCould you please try to load nxusb module by using the command “insmod -v /usr/NX/bin/drivers/nxusb.ko/” and send us the output?
Thanks a lot
Dawid.GParticipantHello, could you also include system logs using journalctl command from your Linux machine? It would help a lot.
Thanks
Dawid.GParticipantIt seems that the issue is caused by the newest Linux Kernel update for RHEL OSes.
Please replace the file with the one you receive (via mail to the address you used to register ) in the /usr/NX/share/src/nxusb/ directory and try to build it again.
I hope it’ll help.
